Home Sweet Home Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization founded by Melanie Taylor, overseen by a board of directors and supported by a group of dedicated volunteers.
HSHAR is a no-kill rescue meaning we do not euthanize animals to make room for other animals. We work towards giving every animal a second, third and even fourth chance at a loving perrmanent home regardless of their past, age or medical condition.
Each animal we rescue is placed in a foster home where they recieve veterinary care, are spayed/neutered and are socially rehabilitated from shelter life. Our fosters are held to a high standard of ethics and are required to conform to federal, state and local laws requiring the care of animals.

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to work with the community and other rescue organizations to provide refuge, veterinary care and rehabilitation to animals that have been in shelters, surrendered by owners or found abused, neglected or abandoned. Our Mission extends to educating our community about spaying / neutering animals in order to reduce over population and euthanization of domesticated animals and helping by participating in spay / neuter programs when possible. Home Sweet Home Animal Rescue also reports cases of abuse, cruelty and neglect to the appropriate officals when necessary.
